tissues ii propaganda

hi chat. did you know that um. Tissues ii is my favorite character of any object show ever. its true!

see as a chronically ill person myself, his portrayal is admittedly not great. (its awful, actually, considering the entire point of his character is to make fun of how gross he is.) i think its no secret that ii has a history of not handling disability the best. theres a whole other thread about disability in the OSC where i talk about that a bit more.

but honestly, i still like him. outside of the questionable portrayal of his chronic illness, hes genuinely a really funny character. i think if he had more time before he got eliminated he could have even ended up a fan favorite. hes shown to be stubborn and a bit sassy and irritable in the few post-elim appearances he's had. and he's shown to think highly of himself. if he had more time to shine i think he'd have a wonderful dynamic with the rest of the contestants! specifically i think i would have loved to see more of him and Trophy. their personalities are rather similar, but Trophy is more outwardly mean. and he's one of few characters Tissues has actually interacted with. god i want more of these two they would be so funny.

it sucks that the little chronic illness rep i get is handled as a joke and has barely any screen time, but i think my love for him comes mostly from what i wish we got of him. i wish he was treated better, given a second chance, and allowed to grow as a character, because what we DO have has a lot of potential, i think! all in all i think, if given the chance, Tissues could be super fun to watch! and despite his flaws i love him! my underrated fav fr!!!
