i was deviantart friends with somebody and they sent me BFDI Is Back on skype one day. i remember being really confused as to why more of the show didnt look like that. i think this was either very early 2017 or like, right before. "BFDI Is Back" sounded so familiar and as SOON as I looked it up memories came flooding back LOL even though i joined after that teaser/trailer/announcement (?) i used to really like the animation style as well,, i remember people always reposting the needle clip and firey slapping coinys face (if i'm remembering correctly, maybe im mixing two videos together in my head...?)

I used to be active on Scratch back in 2014(the BFDIA 6 hiatus days). There, I found a small but dedicated community who loved Object Shows. Out of curiosity I decided to check it out. Fun Fact: The creator of Brawl of the Objects started out on that site. Some of what he made there became very popular. I think a lot of his projects were actually on display in a YTPMV made by JNJ. DUDE SCRATCH IS HOW I FOUND THE OSC TOO!!! I think Fusion started on scratch as well???

DUDE SCRATCH IS HOW I FOUND THE OSC TOO!!! I think Fusion started on scratch as well??? Yeah, but to me BOTO felt way more popular. Granted, I don't know if that's actually the case nowadays.

half-related, but i really love the official BFB OST and even the remixes made by jacknjellify and used to listen to them on soundcloud on long car rides Good taste!! I frequently come back to some tracks from the OST and the YTPMVs.

I Was Following a Lot of DHMIS Tumblr Blogs in 2016 and a Few Started Posting ii Characters (Suitcase, Lightbulb, and Mephone I Think). I Tried to Watch Episode One and Bounced Off Immediately Before Trying Again a Month or So Later and Getting Hooked Hardcore!! I Followed ii and Bfdi Consistently Until Around September Last Year When I Quit Watching Cold Turkey (and I Haven't Picked Them Up Since)... Still Love the Idea of Object Shows Though and I'm So Pleased I've Been Around for So Many Huge Releases. Getting to See All of Pre-Split BFB Release in Real Time is Still a Huge Point of Pride for Me

we don't recall at all when and why we initially found object shows, as it was when we were around 13-14 according to our vague understanding of the system's host activity timeline. one of the co-hosts of the time developed a strong interest in BFDI+BFB, but because of our severe amnesia we had no idea that we ever had such an interest and the only artifact to suggest something was up other than the alter themselves was our first object OC, Captain. this went on until sometime in 2021, when we first met a close friend of ours who at the time was madly into BFB and a bit of other object shows who reintroduced us to the genre. for a while we thought she was the initial introduction giver but then we uncovered memories as some of the older previous-hosts came out of dormancy

The earliest distinct thing I can remember was Yoylecake winning Wikia’s Battle of the Fantasy Foods in 2016. I knew that it won. I didn’t really investigate BFDI.
Using Tumblr pretty frequently in 2018 put me directly up against people who were big fans of BFB. This was continuous. I only “got into” them myself in 2021, after my boyfriend showed me II. It’s not his fault. II has parasitic properties. :-L

I knew about the battle of the fantasy foods back in 2016 and I was on the side of Gravity Falls. Didn't really get into object shows until I started to watch Cary's machine training videos which led me to ABCDEFG with Ruby's 35 sisters. Binged BFDI and II/II2 in a week while working on other commissions I had. I was more active on deviantart, then discord. It was close knit and quiet for a month or two before the first bfb episode came out.
