I've just finished rewatching the entirety of the Sacriverse lore that was set up and subsequently scrapped.
Here is a rundown on some of my thoughts on OBS. And when it's relevant, the lore as a whole. Most of it is OBS really, I don't have much to say on anything else.
As of writing, certain videos of the series seem to have been deleted or taken down. Ones that come to mind being "MY OBJECT SHOW" and "H REMEMBERS". Granted, they aren't too big in the grand scheme of things, as for the latter you could probably already tell what Happy Star's intentions are at this point. The latter is a whole can of worms that I will get to below.
Any thoughts?

A good portion of my issues can really be chalked up to issue failings in object shows. I'll only list the ones that are relevant. As Sacri was a teenager during production of most of this, I'll cut some slack here. It happens.
- My biggest one is how the consequences of Calculated Battlegrounds' second season were addressed here. Watching from the previous season, we understand that OBS is a soft reboot, as some of the things changed such as Bowler being able to talk again and Ball being brought back to existence. The latter isn't really dwelled on, and it gets promptly dropped the moment Oreo and Ball befriend one another. From that point onward it brings up events prior to the incident and shifts to Happy Star's impending arrival. "H REMEMBERS" doesn't really do any favors here either and only muddies things by directly connecting to the fallout?? The ending indicates it's not canon but the way it's conveyed has always confused me. I suppose that's why it got removed. It always felt like an retroactive attempt to make H's death meaningful.
- I still have no opinion regarding how Parallelogram was handled. Just nothing. That is all.
- I know the show is part comedy, but having Goldfish's brain damage be played for lulz felt odd? Not a good character either way. At least Palm Tree dropped the "yesman" jokes. (both are still annoying and unfunny characters)
- I'm not the most romance savvy person, but I genuinely couldn't tell that Bowl and Crayon started dating? They don't need to kiss or hug all of the time. At the very least have a subtle indicator. There wasn't any set up this besides tangentially being a part of Bowl's arc of "letting go of the past". Am I missing something???? I would really like to know. (It would have been short lived had the show progressed anyway)
- Yeah, Bowl's arc wasn't really planned. If you have watched up to this point, you would probably be confused by the notion of Bowl being "irrational" and "stuck in the past" and other informed flaws that weren't really conveyed in this season. You could chalk it up to Notebook being a well meaning but stuck up douchebag... But then this and later episodes imply that Bowl's arc is about moving on from Bowler and getting herself together. I'll give this one some slack for the reasons stated above.
- Actually... Was there a reason for Bowl coming back? She quit in season 1 and was absent in season 2. I know the Doylist reason is likely to give closure to Bowler and Bowl's conflict... But there doesn't seem to be an in-universe explanation besides "people coming and going over the past few years". It's a soft reboot sure, but I'm surprised it didn't address it. Lego's death stuck at least.
- You know, the starting scene of that episode did show that Notebook could have been interesting. It's not really extrapolated upon because DEATH doesn't really get much focus for most of it. The size of the cast and juggling 4 teams doesn't really help either. Well, the information on the CB sideplot of RIBS does seem to convey that Notebook would have more to do... So I can rest easy. I have a soft spot for the guy, but it's clear to see why Notebook got out while Buzzery didn't. Most of Notebook's screen time was dedicated to being Cup's #1 hater.
- Cup's storyline is "cliche", but I think it works fine here. Cup's personality is a stark contrast to how dysfunctional and eccentric literally everyone else is. And that potential on of itself is not bland.
- Was Triangle's disappearance ever explained? I've looked on Tumblr and the wiki for information, but the closest I could get to is this drawing with her and the other 2 shapes in front of a crowd. I know she was really annoying, but I at least expected an explanation for her disappearance like with Lego and Herobrine.
- 7a opened my eyes to Moon with glasses. Glasses. We need more of them. Yes.
- I didn't really find Battle For Grandma that funny. It's only really important to the lore because 2 of the contestants get kidnapped and it shows how big of a threat Happy Star is.
- I still like the idea of Happy Star being this really desperate object show host who grew too aware, got bored and wreaked destruction in order to create "the perfect object show". It feels like one of the rare instances where the meta aspect does work here.
I'm fond of the idea of seemingly unrelated object shows and videos all being connected with one another. I think more object shows should play with the mediums in some way. Whether that's multimedia or something else. That said, I understand and respect Sacri's decision to can something they weren't happy with anymore. ^^
Any thoughts?
