treasuredguardianI meant to merge this with your thread, since they were created at the same... and then accidentally deleted it. I'd make it up to you better if I knew how to credit that kind of thing. =P

As for the episode itself.... I don't know what to say right now. It really is a lot to process.
I have a feeling that this isn't really the end for a variety of reasons: 1. Mepad is probably still around, and so is Soap's phone. In the previous act there was a scene where Soap deleted a picture, but it wasn't fully deleted yet. This is likely going to come into play with whatever Mephone4 decides to do. Not sure if Bot will ever factor into this, seeing as they were object-made as well. 2. Some movies have unconventional act structures, but I doubt something like the Inanimate Insanity MOVIE would end with only 2. We'll probably get at least one more. Not to mention the movie was said to have multiple parts.... 3. We have some answers regarding the extent of Mephone4's creation of the contestants, but there's also a few unresolved plot threads and questions regarding others, and some of the vague answers I've seen in the QNAs don't quite line up with this ending? EDIT: ALSO the other 2 seasons ended with 18 episodes. I THINK somewhere this season was also initially proposed to have 18 episodes before it was "changed" to be 16???? Correct me if I'm wrong though.
Personally I wouldn't really mind if it ended abruptly here as a tragedy of sort, but I digress.

okaaay so like I THOUGHT THE EPISODE ITSELF WAS PRETTY GOOD! i think we all know this definitely isnt gonna be THE ending...dunno it just feels weird to end it off on ep 17 nd theres a lot of loose ends but man if it just ended off like that....? i think that would be the coolest way to end off ii...everything being gone, absolutely nothing left. I THINK IT WORKS! ITS MISERABLE AND HOPELESS! mephone4 essentially losing everything he's created after his creations seem to finally be questioning and turning against him etc etc... ITS JUST KINDA BADASS! other than that yea the episode was pretty good i thought the key 3 robots thing was fucking stupid but i do like toilet's new VA ^^ he sounds really cute!!

haha everyone died I wouldn't mind if that's the ending but I would find the ending very jarring even if it's Inanimate Insanity, the object show notable for tone shifts. 100% no way that's the end.
If we're following 3 act structures similar to a movie/musical, this is the lowest point before it resolves. People are comparing this to the ONE ending, but they're inherently very different shows that start out tonally different. ONE always had a bleak vibe so it's expected to end bleakly.

Yes, I'm aware. I knew that most things followed three acts, but it was early at the time so I couldn't really find the term for the structure.

It might surprise you... I kind of have to hand something to this episode, which is the way that the contestants react to MePhone. I was under the impression that this part would leap to them being unusually kind towards him despite the circumstances that he's put them in (and that they're now aware of), but it didn't. In my posts about S2E16, I said that I thought making these kinds of reveals about MePhone's character might be too late to be handled properly, but this episode spends a reasonable amount of time on it, in which things play out fairly logically. That creates a better outlook. Of course, the quality of the concept as a whole depends on what the next part is like, but for now, things regarding MePhone are "good." (Can I say that?)
I also thought that the new writer-inspired robots were dumb. A.D.A.M. was a fine seconds-long reference in S2E13 because he had already appeared in S1, and therefore warranted an explanation. I'm not sure why these guys are here.

Yeah I didn't think they would actually go through with it, seeing how the previous episodes have been in regards to the contestants not really having much of an opinion on Mephone4 despite... Everything. One of my issues with ToF is that Mephone4 wasn't as involved in the challenge as he really should have been given the context. I still have Opinions regarding the twist, but it's nice to see they at least acknowledged the messed up implications of Mephone4 determining various parts of their lives.
Yeah, I also thought that was pointless. I guess they exist to reference the fact that II is ran by 3 people??? I'm not trying to downplay Brian and Justin's contributions here. The idea of two other bots just comes out of nowhere and they're characters we likely won't really see much of later on anyway. Especially at this part of the show. If that makes sense.

I'LL GIVE THE BASTARDS THIS! THEY WENT THERE! I Am Completely and Totally Satisfied Because I Like How They Handled Suitcase and I LIke a Downer Ending. Id Love if This Was the End So Bad But I Know It Wont Be. If I Had Cared About Anything Other Than Suitcase Though I'd Probably Be a Little Pissed Off

If I Had Cared About Anything Other Than Suitcase Though I'd Probably Be a Little Pissed Off Yeah, I see what you mean. On one hand, this is some of the best Suitcase moments we've had. I've seen potential in Suitcase, which makes the ways the show used her up to this point pretty... Disappointing to say the least. I'll save you all an entire essay on how I feel about her. So seeing her be allowed to do more than just react and process her feelings was pretty satisfying. That said... I'm still not really sure how to feel about the other developments here, such as the way Mic forgave Taco and everything to do with the Manor. Again, it takes a while for me to gather my thoughts when it comes to these episodes. And I want to save my verdict for the full product.
