Ah... my now favorite episode of the series. I'm sure I'm not the first or last one to say that but I have to! I'm absolutely biased. Not only did it wrap up my now favorite arc pretty well but two of my biggest predictions (irt Winner & Clock AND Winner & Loser) came true! It was genuinely a dream come true. I was in near tears towards the end. I feel like a broken record always talking about these guys but someone has to do it. Seeing Winner finally be able to accept their past is all I wanted to see since I first fell in love with them in TPOT 1. And they managed to execute it in a way that, to me, didn't make it feel like Winner or Loser were necessarily in the wrong, something I was always scared about. Some might disagree, but I think Loser had the right to react the way he did. He was hurt by this too after all. I made a comic about this too. I could go on all day but I feel like I have to keep myself short incase someone else wants to say something too :P I do have to wonder what they're gonna do with Winner now. I hope we can see more of their personality outside of their conflict with Clock. Even If not, I'm happy. Maybe now taggy fans can get something too. I do like what they're building up to with them and Book!! Exciting.

Right on. Loser has always had a lot of potential so I'm glad they expanded on that in this episode. Amazing opportunity both for him and Winner. I feel like a lot of people dislike Loser so much because It's easy to project negative ideas onto him. We all had a friend who left us in the dust at some point. We all know the trope of the self absorbed celebrity. He is not that however. Even If he enjoys the attention a lot, sometimes basing self worth onto it in a way (like the part with Firey in post split, in the X marks the spot scene). Clear to see why and how the attention and fame became a thing he chased after. Despite that, he's always been a genuine character and cares for the people around him. Just think of his elimination speech in BFB 7. Many people feel for Winner, I do too! But I feel for both of them. No one wants their friendship to break due to creative differences. But It's also hard to lose support for something you've dreamed of, especially by a best friend, is it not? It's how I predicted their falling out to go too, since I found it to be the most "neutral" way to end it, without either being explicitly at fault. I think If Winner can move on from it, then that's all that matters to me. Hoorah!!

Exciting. wrt winner & loser this is honestly a really good take imo. i feel like the really easy kneejerk reaction is to just demonize loser but i feel like, with anything, theres way more nuance to it. it doesnt necessarily read as loser did bad and winner did right. it was a differing in perspectives that ultimately clashed and, through miscommunication, shattered a long-term friendship. i do wonder if we'll ever get to see more of loser in a more personable manner. all things considered we havent really seen him being a character in the show as much as hes just been presented as a walking talking metaphor. but especially considering what we've learned from winner i think he deserves more than that!! edit: almost forgot the paper mache scene. they really dropped that and didnt elaborate at all

BUT DIDNT ADD ANYTHING ELSE it was just a "hey remember this thing? what was up w that" LIKE MAN IDK YOU MADE THE CHARACTER? HELP?)

I do think about them a lot... It's refreshing to see others feel the same. I totally agree though. It always felt like there was more going on with Loser than they were able to tell, considering he got out of the exit to rejoin and was Cary and Michael's fave at the time (maybe still is?). I also think Cary mentioned there being more to Loser's backstory in a reaction to BFB 6 or something along those lines. That was a while ago though. I'm glad we got anything now... And yeah, I was thinking about the paper mache scene too. I might be looking too deep into it but I do think the implication of Loser being bullied -> famous could very well explain why he was so obsessed with getting more attention and praise from people. It might just be a theory - but I also thought me thinking that Clock was projecting him being forgotten by his team onto Winner was me looking too deep into it and It turned out to be true. So who knows!

So who knows! honestly i dont know if i believe that its possible to look too deep into something!! like, of course theres things like those intentionally absurd coma theories for kids cartoons but like, bfdi is still an art!! any art is meant to be inferred from and interpreted and i think finding human meaning in human creation is part of the experience of enjoying said art :)

I wish more people thought this way too, I feel like people dismiss BFDI too easily on the basis of it being more kid-friendly. I absolutely agree tho and will forever analyze this show with all I can.

no episode of TPOT, and probably no episode of BFDI will ever reach the highs of TPOT 1+2, but TPOT 10 flew pretty close to the sun. it's a really good episode and handled most of its threads, especially Winner, basically perfectly.
Sam's writing mainly suffers from being overly explain-y and repetitive, and the scene between Black Hole and Fanny suffered from that a bit. they repeated the same sentiment a bit too much. could've used some editing.
i wonder how much of the improvement can be chalked up to the "script consultants?"

To be honest this episode, alongside TPOT 9, are one of the most perfect and best episodes of the current season I've ever seen! I love the way characters interacted, Winner and Clock arc was pretty much resolved, lots of arcs either progressed or were ended (like Fanny vs. Death P.A.C.T again arc). However, the main flaw was there was no One, that was hyped up last episode, but maybe next time, I guess
