hi chat im finally forcing myself to do some CSS on my website. i still have a lot to work on so like this is just on a test page not accessible to anyone but me so its not actually ON the website yet but heres a little preview. im using visual editors and shit cuz i have no idea what im doing lmao (i really like dashed borders they remind me of stitch lines its soooo my vibe... i wanna try to do some custom fonts on here and im gonna draw up a background for the site. then i gotta figure out the rest of the pages but im using all the same stuff as like a base so it shouldnt be too difficult to figure most of it out  so yeah rn its barebones but like its way better than what it looks like right now LMAO |

(though i never could get the stylesheet to work and had to add all the CSS to the top of each page individually. not a huge deal, i just edited each page on a test page only i could access and then copied it over to the public page.) a lot of CSS and coding in general is trial and error and repeatedly googling "how do i do [blank]" and scouring every line of code for whatever typo you made that broke the page. once you've got the basics down though its not TOO hard to get the site to look how you want, it's just, again, a bunch of trial and error.
oh, and on that note, i actually finished the site last night. i was too excited to take a break and stayed up til like 3am LMAO. i figured out custom fonts and cursors, drew up a background image, got everything aligned how i want to, yada yada. isnt it neat?! i'll still go back and update the site every so often ofc thats why i still have it as "under construction" but yeah! |

what are your guy's methods for inserting (big) images? atm i copy the url of ones uploaded to tumblr, which is fine, but it only works for uploading things like art that ive already shared publicly. im new to using forums and inexperienced with not inserting images via file upload/clipboard

I use catbox.moe/ ! If the pictures are too big for my liking I also use an image resizer first, you can find any online but I use imageresizer.com/. |
