haha first post to the thread. frankly i am NOT that comfortable using the derpibooru forums and i dont know any other active MLP forums so the object freaks get to hear about my pony fanzine. (besides one day i may end up making an object show zine) enough yapping ok i JUST started working on my first ever zine and its called Life's A Party! including the front and back cover, this is a 12 page zine that will contain a series of illustrations based on the MLP fanfic Cupcakes. ive been interested in making a zine for a while and the inspiration struck to make something based on this fanfic that played a big part of my childhood and forming my love for slasher horror, so here we are!! here's the cover for a little preview!!! im probably gonna use this thread to post updates on how far along i am in making it. the plan is to have a small amount of physical copies printed (probably 10 copies) but also have a downloadable PDF version available for like a dollar or maybe just straight up free. so if this sounds interesting to you guys stay tuned hehe :3

current progress: 5 finished, 1 lined, 1 sketched, 7 not started. i managed to squeeze in a couple bc i ended up not being as burned out as i thought- that or my creative drive just decided to cick in today. once those last 2 are finished im gonna sketch out the rest! or at least a few of em. as a sidenote, i usually draw the main subject traditionally and edit the background digitally, but working on this zine has made me realize how much i actually love coloring backgrounds traditionally. so the first couple pages have some digital editing butbthe rest wont. im keeping it that way, i think it'll be a nice show of my progression as an artist!!! i always love seeing my own progression and improvement

7 finished, that means only 5 left, cuz today i finished the very last one i sketched out last week! i think before i finish those last 5, im gonna take a small break and work on something else. i need to break the streak of only drawing Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash, lol!  also i just realized the page count in the last progress update i did is totally wrong... oops  WELL ANYWAYS yah thats it thats my current progress! gonna step back to do something else and pick back up where i left off soon! |
